How does PinMe work without draining my phone's battery?
Unlike navigation apps that continuously run GPS tracking in the background, PinMe registers your coordinates as virtual circle boundaries directly with the mobile operating system (using Apple iOS Region Monitoring and Android Geofencing API). The OS hardware only wakes PinMe up for a split-second when you cross a boundary line. Thus, it consumes practically zero battery.
Is my location history uploaded to your servers?
Absolutely not. We never upload or save your active location history. When you are signed in, we only upload the center coordinates, radius, and text notes of the geofences you explicitly design, purely so they can synchronize across your signed-in devices. Your real-time movements are processed entirely on your physical device, away from servers.
Can I use the app completely offline?
Yes, PinMe has offline storage built-in. If you don't sign in, all data stays stored in your browser's LocalStorage. If you do sign in, changes are still cached locally first and will automatically merge with your Supabase cloud account next time you are connected to the internet.
How can I delete my account and data?
We make data deletion immediate and irreversible. Inside the application (under the Reminders view → Account panel), click "Delete account". This calls our Supabase cloud server to delete your authentication profile and wipes all your synced geofences, reminders, and purchase history records from our database, while local storage is cleared upon sign-out.
